What I did this week..

Went to work.. met a turtle.
Funny story, there are two turtles in our courtyard at work, male and female. (Don't ask how I know that. An older couple (83 & 81), was staying at the Inn for a weekend in separate rooms that the gentleman's son booked for them. Well as soon as the son and daughter in law checked out the older couple moved into one room. Yeah, we had our giggles. Well I was talking to the couple about the turtles and how we haven't had any baby turtles. The lady says, well maybe their relationship is platonic. He says "Yeah..like OURS." And rolls his eyes in disgust.
We giggled more.
Played with my beautiful baby.
Looks like she is saying "Hello world."
Decided Pookie needs to go on a diet.
Played mario kart with my husband.
Surprised the neighbors haven't called the cops on us for abuse the way we yell during this game.
Woke up a sleepy head from her nap.
Had a night with some wonderful friends.
I may or may not keep a koozie with my name on it at the steakhouse.
Thought about how much fun we had at our wedding.
To those who couldn't make it, this is our cake topper. Yes, she is grabbing his booty.
And played with this ridiculously happy girl.

Today..

This is what I saw...

Compost at work. Yes, that is cut up veggies, coffee grinds, etc. They send them off to the farm and in return we get fantastic food. Food to be posted asap.

Some of the herbs grown at work.
Aw, no customers at BP? Too f'n bad.
Too  bad for the hundereds of sea turtles that have no place to lay their eggs.
Too bad for the Blue Fin Tuna, that only live in the gulf, that could become extinct this year.
Too bad for the HUNDRENDS of dolphins that are delivering their babies this summer.
Too bad.
Sweet little Lily looking for some attention on the way home.
Monkey must be trying to run away from a teething baby.
How she must feel about teething, ear infections, and eating carrots.

What Chad does when nobody is around..

I have an insanely (and insane) talented/creative husband..and here is your proof.

Gimme one-fitty.
This is one of 2, Monopoly pieces we have in our home. I have a feeling they will not be the last.

Why wouldn't Jim B go above the bar?

Jimmmy..my man!

This isn't actually a Gangwer orginal. One of Chad's closest friends, Mike, made this for us as our wedding gift. The wood the frames are hanging from is a piece of driftwood off the beach we were married on, and the picture is a picture from our first dance. Thanks Mike D! We love it!

Blogging Virgin

So you might be wondering about the title? Have you ever written on a bev nap? It's way better than paper, it's so smooth and wonderful (I'm easily amused). If you have ever worked in the service industry, you know what I mean. Taking orders, numbers, or just jotting notes.. always on a bev nap. Lillian's name was actually decided on about 4 different beverage napkins, while hubby and I were having dinner at the Blockhouse while I was pregnant. He wrote down his favorites and I wrote down mine. After mixing around our favorites.. Lillian Eva was the favorite. I still have the bev naps in her baby book, and one day Chad will do something super creative with them. Just 'cause thats what he does.

This is my very first blog, hence the title. It's basically me uploading pictures of what I see and do on a daily basis. They will mostly be of my little Lily and sweet hubby.. And thoughts for the day. And.. this is what I have done lately.

Sweet little Lily and her daddy hiking up Jones Gap. She did better than me.

But I would have gone farther if I could have napped half way through too.

You can't tell by this picture, but she was super cranky today.

Which led to some much needed Mommy time.
"Whiskey's to tough, Champagne costs too much, Vodka puts my mouth in gear. I hope this refrain, Will help me explain, As a matter of fact, I like beer."

I feel the need to share my new ring with everyone. I absoultely LOVE it. It came from this super cute boutique in Greenville, Salon 864, and now that I have discovered it.. I am their number one fan.
